Jack Ruderman on The Exchange March 10th 2009: listen here
Officially, he's the first director of the Public Utilities Commission's Sustainable Energy Division; unofficially, he could be called the state’s first energy "czar." Jack Ruderman will oversee New Hampshire’s efforts to move into a new energy future, through nuclear, biofuels, solar, wind, geothermal or a combination of them all. We’ll talk to Jack Ruderman about his new position and what he intends to do with it.
[edit] Communities
For access to our communities page, go to New Hampshire Communities. Although we started here in NH, we have started adding places from other states as well.
We are trying to reach out to NH schools and colleges as well, so if you know someone, send them to the site and invite them to post.
I live in a condo community consisting of 27 individual condo homes. At the end of the court and approximately in the center of the homes is a dedicated green area about 1/2 acre or less. This is the lowest point of the street and also contains a basin acting as a wash for rain water.
I was wondering about the feasability of installing enough solar panels and supporting them high enough to have 100% exposure to the sun so as to service all 27 units by underground feeds in both directions from the central source. Other factors such as cost effectiveness, regional climate concerns, tax credits, etc.
