The Local Energy Committee Working Group of the Carbon Coalition is hosting a multi-track conference to help New Hampshire communities reduce energy use, curb greenhouse gas emissions and save taxpayer dollars. This day-long conference will include examples of projects and provide participants with tools for action aimed at empowering local energy committees.

Nashua Regional Energy Roundtable Energy Roundtable

- Speaker ~ Linda Darveau, US Environmental Protection Agency
- Details ~ Linda will discuss the EPA’s role in economic stimulus funding, its free intern assistance for communities interested in benchmarking
their energy use with Portfolio Manager, Energy Management Plans for municipalities, and the upcoming Community Energy Grant program. There will also be time for communities to ask questions of each other and share information about what their Local Energy Committees are doing. Lunch will be provided.

- About the Roundtable ~ The goal of this group is to share knowledge, technical expertise, and lessons learned as communities in the Nashua Region take action to address climate change and energy issues at the local level. The Energy Roundtable is open to municipal officials, board members, planners, citizens, and anyone interested in creating change at the local level.

February 3rd: Meeting of the Lakes Region Energy Alliance 6:00-8:00pm at the Meredith Community Center
Christa Koehler, the Community Program Manager for Clean - Air, Cool Planet will present "Foundational Steps for an LEC". These steps include how to conduct an energy efficiency inventory on municipal facilities with free software from the Environmental Protection Agency. She will also present available guides, documents, and templates that LECs can use to collect data, interpret the inventory and create a presentation.
This meeting will provide an opportunity for LECs to share ideas and needs. Bring your data sheets and questions! Please contact Erica Anderson at the LRPC with any questions, eanderson@lakesrpc.org or 279-8171.
All meetings are open to the public.

This free workshop will provide hands-on training on entering and tracking your town's energy use data with the EPA's Energy Star Portfolio Manager benchmarking software.
